Walk and Roll to Bagby
Bagby is proud to have worked with the City of San Jose to develop the Walk N'Roll Program, which is now at many schools across the city. This program supports students and parents walking into school by parking at least 4 blocks away from Bagby. We ask that families form walking buses or carpools from neighborhoods. Parking and access to Bagby is very limited, and Walk N' Roll is the BEST way to get your child here safely.
Purpose of the program:
- To decrease traffic congestion around the school
- To enhance student safety
- To encourage and enhance health
- To create safer walking and bicycling routes to school
- To improve air quality around schools
- To gain community support for pedestrian safety
- To promote walking and bicycling to school in our community

<p pt="" sans",="" sans-serif;="" font-size:="" 12px;"=""> A walking school bus is a group of children walking to school with one or more adults. If that sounds simple, it is, and that’s part of the beauty of the walking school bus. It can be as informal as two families taking turns walking their children to school to as structured as a route with meeting points, a timetable and a regularly rotated schedule of trained volunteers.
