What do I do when my child will be absent from school?
Call the absentee line at 408-377-3882 ext. 2103. Follow the recorded instructions to leave the required information.
What do I do if my child is tardy?
Students who are tardy (defined as one minute late), must sign in at the office and will receive a tardy slip. Students with perpetual tardy issues will receive a letter and a phone call from the principal.
What do I do if I need to pick up my child early for an appointment?
Come to the office to let our office staff know that you need to pick up your child. Sign your child out on the sign out sheet and our staff will call your child's classroom to have them sent to the office.
What happens if I am late to pick up my child?
We will try to reach you or an emergency contact on your child's information sheet. Ten minutes after the final bell, students must be picked up from school. If an unforeseen situation arises and you cannot be at school at the designated time, please call the office and let the school secretary know. We will have your child wait in the office until your arrival.
What time are students allowed on campus?
Students may arrive at 8:05 A.M. Supervision begins at this time.
Where do students go if they arrive early?
As there is no adequate supervision provided before the 8:05 A.M. bell, please DO NOT drop your child off early.
Are bicycles, scooters, skateboards, wheelies, etc. allowed on campus?
Students may ride them to the campus boundary and then must walk them into the school. Bicycles are allowed for grades 3-5 and younger grades riding with a parent. Students must wear helmets AT ALL TIMES while riding. Scooters must be folded. Bikes must be locked up at the bike rack.
What do I do if my child forgets his/her homework?
Call the office and ask to be connected to your child's teacher. Homework can also be dropped off in the office and staff will try their best to get the forgotten homework to the student.
What do I do if my child forgets his/her lunch?
Drop off your child's lunch in the office and office will try their best to get the forgotten lunch to the student.
How do I pay for my child's lunches?
You can give your child the money to pay for lunch as they go through the line, or pay for a longer period of time in the office. You may also pay online.

How can I get involved in the school?
Parent volunteers are a vital part of the Bagby community. There are many ways to help and be involved in your child's education. Contact our Home & School Club. Contact your child's teacher to find ways to help volunteer for special events.
